My name is Laura Stasenko. I am a fifth year teacher at McBee Elementary School. This year I am teaching second grade, which I love. Beforehand, I taught both fifth and sixth grade. Prior to joining Chesterfield County School District, I lived in Mount Union, Pennsylvania where I grew up. I have a close-knit family, where I am an only child. I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary and kindergarten education from Penn State University, my master’s degree in reading from Grand Canyon University, as well as certification to teach gifted and talented education from Converse University. Currently, I am in the process of earning my National Board Certification. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing golf, shopping, traveling, and watching Penn State football. In the future, I would like to earn a doctorate degree and write a children’s book.
